nno Provide direct and indirect nursing care to inmates / patients under the direction of the supervising registered nurse and correctional facilityno Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers; takes independent action within professional preparation and legal limits to maintain orderno Supervise the conduct of inmates / patients to protect and maintain the safety of persons and propertyno Plan and implement nursing care including administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, disease preventions and restorative measures ordered by a physicianno Assists physicians with medical and / or minor surgical proceduresno Perform assessments and ongoing monitoring of inmate / patient physical and psychosocial statusno Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care and treatment regimen; collaborate with physicians and other health care providersno Provide clinical supervision of other nursing staff to ensure quality patient care; document nursing care in medical recordsno Ensure safety of inmates / patients by monitoring work areas for safety and cleanlinessno Administer first aid in emergenciesnnCREDENTIALS REQUIRED FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:
